Indianapolis Internship Experience

Guest Blogger
One internship experience changed my entire career. I discovered what I liked and what I didn’t. I realized what I was good at doing and what I should probably never do again. I figured out what type of career I wanted and how I could make a difference.
That was only seven short years ago. Since then, I have focused on my fundraising career – learning more each day, achieving significant goals, and building my professional portfolio. I’m good at what I do. And I love doing it.
And I hope other young people can discover what they are good at doing and what they love to do! I encourage you to get out there and try something. And an internship is a perfect opportunity.
Find out about internships through college career service offices, professional associations, and your network of contacts. Start asking your colleagues and friends, and you may be surprised at the number of leads you receive!
And, if you are interested in a nonprofit internship focused on fundraising and marketing, be sure to check out this this opportunity with The Oaks Academy in Indianapolis..
